Operation Game On announces its newest program, WOW (Wives of Warriors).
As you all know, the wives of our troops deal with various stresses when they send their loved ones on a tour of duty -never knowing if they will see them again. When tragedy does strike their level of anxiety and stress is very […]...More →
I just booked a 9-hole golf outing for members of OGO to play at Morgan Run on Veterans Day with a shotgun beginning at 2:30pm on the North Course followed by a banquet to “Salute” them on Veterans Day.
Many Americans mistakenly believe that Veterans Day is the day America sets aside […]...More →
Golf is one of those games that can thrill you with excitement one moment and not so much the next. It’s that potential rush with each new swing that ‘flips the switch’ for some people. The Perez family certainly has a driving passion for the game of golf. It’s driven Tony’s sons to compete through […]...More →
“The uniqueness of our Little Heroes program is that it is the first to offer free golf lessons to the children of military personnel and members of the Armed Forces YMCA,” states Tony Perez, founder of Pin Pals Junior Links. The program, called “Little Heroes”, will begin with the military children whose parents are stationed […]...More →

In Their Words
Golf reminds us to focus on the positive and overcome adversity. Some of our troops take a moment here to share what golf now means to them as they strive to regain confidence, balance, mobility and a positive attitude.
Operation Game On’s Mission
Provide golf as a form of rehabilitation for our returning combat-injured troops suffering from physical and mental disabilities. The troops' doctors regularly advise some of their patients to try our program.
Golf is good for the mind and for the body. It allows them to compete, laugh, relax, focus, and challenge their muscles outside of regular PT. It gives them hope of a clearer future after their tragic injuries and experiences of war.
It's only through your donations that we can accomplish our mission.
Golf: A Game to Last A Lifetime
Our goal is to reach out to our troops and their families to show them the honor they deserve through an introduction to the game of golf. Golf gives them a chance to compete and be active. It's a fun wholesome and challenging outdoor activity. Golf helps build self confidence and teaches determination and there's also no better place to create new friendships like the golf course.
We have several ongoing programs and events as well as our annual golf tournament. We are busy making plans for the 2013 Golf Classic and other fundraisers. Stay Tuned!
