Photo Tribute to Jim Flick from Operation Game On
The passing of legendary golf instructor, Jim Flick, has been a great loss to the golfing community. It is also a loss felt greatly here at Operation Game On. Jim Flick was a very strong supporter of Operation Game On and he will truly be missed. We will miss Mr. Flick’s wry smile and entertaining delivery of great golf tips and golf advice that each of us could use to shave a few strokes off our next round or just to make the game fun.
Since 2008, Jim has given many hours of his time to the injured troops participating in our Operation Game On program at TaylorMade’s The Kingdom fitting center in Carlsbad. Receiving brand new custom TaylorMade clubs and having the eye of Jim Flick helping was always a highlight and a memory they will cherish. He looked past their injuries and treated our guys as if they were members of the PGA Tour.
So please take a moment to remember my good friend Jim Flick. This photographic tribute (created by Mark Dastrup) highlights some of our fond memories of Mr. Flick’s work with us here at Operation Game On.

In Their Words
Golf reminds us to focus on the positive and overcome adversity. Some of our troops take a moment here to share what golf now means to them as they strive to regain confidence, balance, mobility and a positive attitude.
