Today will be a very exciting day for five of our current and past OGO students. The PGA Tour and the folks of the Northern Trust Open are hosting Military Appreciation Day. TaylorMade is here along with five members of its Tour Staff to kick off a week-long effort to honor military heroes who have made tremendous sacrifices protecting our nation.

Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Pat Perez, Rory Sabatini, and Retif Goosen are each joined by a member of Operation Game On.

They will all play today and honor our troops as they promote Taylor Made’s new R1 Driver.

The event starts out with a special delivery of the R1 Drivers.

There will be a five member jump team free-falling from 7000 feet each carrying an R1 Driver to be delivered to the PGA Tour players. Another jumper will be carrying a golf bag with R1’s for our five OGO members. Then there will be a tandem shoot on the course along with our five OGO players.

In addition, this week, more that 20 TaylorMade Tour Staff Players playing the new R1 will honor members of Operation Game On and veterans everywhere by playing each of the four rounds with a soldiers name emblazoned on their driver head. Appropriately, the event will take place at The Heroes Golf Course on the grounds of the Veterans Hospital Los Angeles and begins at 3pm.

If you can believe this, I am at a loss for words as TaylorMade, The PGA Tour Players, and the folks at the Northern Trust Open are going beyond the call of duty to honor our combat injured OGO patients and all Veterans.

As one of the TaylorMade staff members stated, “This is about honoring all our war heroes and all Veterans.”

Thanks again to all of you for your continued support and may God Bless and protect our troops, may God Bless all of you, and God Bless America!
